Good Luck Eating House
Good Luck Eating House is a Merivale restaurant in Sydney designed with Akin Atelier, drawing inspiration from the glamour and decadence of 1970s Asian dining culture. The venue captures the atmosphere of late-night restaurant destinations, combining contemporary Asian flavours with a playful after-dark energy.
The design brief focused on creating an immersive dining environment layered with bold colour, rich textures and moody lighting. Referencing the character of a modern Shanghai dining house, the interiors feature lacquered finishes, mirrored detailing and deep red ambient lighting that create an intimate yet dramatic setting throughout the space.
b_seated supplied the commercial dining chairs for the project, manufactured to meet the demands of a high-volume hospitality environment. The chairs were selected to complement the layered material palette while providing the structural durability required for daily restaurant service.
Integrated across the dining room, the seating supports both the visual character and operational performance of the venue. The result is a restaurant environment that balances theatrical interior design with furniture engineered for consistent commercial use.
